PowerPoint Quiz Template Part 1: Hyperlinks + Multi-Question Types









Slides You’ll Need






  1. Mode Selection Slide:










  • This serves as your main “homepage” for selecting quiz question types.




  • Insert shapes with labels like “Multiple Choice,” “Word Cloud,” etc. These shapes will act as buttons.




  • Each button should be linked to the specific slide that contains the type of question indicated on the button. A button labeled “Multiple Choice” should link to a slide with a multiple-choice question.






  1. Question Slides:










  • Add question prompts and embed ClassPoint quiz questions on these slides.




  • Add ClassPoint quiz questions in Edit Mode from the Inknoe ClassPoint tab, and run them in Slide Show Mode.

  1. Return to Main Selection Slide:










  • Insert an additional slide that links back to the mode selection slide.




  • Place this after each question slide so users can easily return to the main menu for selecting other question types.





Setting Up






  • On the mode selection slide, click on one of the buttons (shapes) and go to the Insert tab.




  • Select Link > Place in This Document, then choose the slide you want this button to link to.










  • Repeat this process for each button, linking them to their corresponding question slides.




  • As for the returning slide back to the main selection slide, do just the same. You may do this one time and just duplicate it after each question slide.




  • After setting up all the links, switch to slideshow mode to verify that everything works correctly.





Running the Quiz






  • To run the quizzes, ensure you’re on slide show mode and click on the embedded quiz question button. This action will send the slides to participants’ devices where they can answer directly.





Invite participants to join your game session by visiting www.classpoint.app using any browser on any device. They can log in using the unique class code appearing right up top your PowerPoint slide.









  • Participants will see the slides on their devices and can submit their answers in real-time.




  • Responses will be collected as they are submitted, allowing you to track answers immediately.




  • Award stars for correct answers (objective questions) or for participation (subjective questions).




  • At the end of the session, reveal the leaderboard to show who performed best. You can also display the leaderboard between questions to encourage friendly competition.

PowerPoint Quiz Template Part 2: Drag & Drop, Slide Zoom, and Multiple Choice









Slides You’ll Need






  1. Main Navigation Slide:










  • Similar to the earlier part, this slide acts as your “homepage” for navigating between different quiz slides.






  1. Question Slides:










  • For this setup, we’re using only multiple-choice questions. Each question will have a different difficulty level, so you can award varying numbers of stars using ClassPoint’s Stars feature.

Setting Up






  • On the main navigation slide, click Insert > Zoom dropdown > Slide Zoom.




  • In the window that appears, select the question slides you want to turn into “mini slides” a.k.a. the slides you’re going to navigate to and from later.










  • Once inserted, with all mini slides still selected, go to the Zoom tab.

    • From the Zoom Border dropdown, select “No Outline.”






  • Click on each mini slide individually and go to the Zoom tab. Check the box for “Return to Zoom” in the upper left corner.

    • Note: You need to enable “Return to Zoom” for each mini slide individually.







This setup allows you to easily return to your main navigation slide after running each question slide.





  • Arrange the mini slides as desired and cover each with a shape.

    • For this example, add star icons on top of each shape to indicate the number of stars awarded for each question, ranging from 1 to 3 stars.




    • Group each shape with its star icons so they count as one object. This grouping is useful for the next step where we’ll convert them into Draggable Objects.






  • Convert the shapes into Draggable Objects:

    • Select all the shapes you want to convert.




    • Go to the Inknoe ClassPoint tab, click on the More Features dropdown, and toggle “Drag enabled” in the side panel.











Making these shapes draggable during the slideshow adds an element of suspense, as you can reveal the question slides by dragging the shapes.





  • Start the slideshow and click the Draggable Objects icon on the ClassPoint toolbar.




  • Drag a shape to reveal the mini slide behind it. Then, go back to cursor mode from the ClassPoint toolbar and click on the mini slide to go directly to that slide.




  • Click on the embedded ClassPoint Multiple Choice quiz buttons on each question slide to run the quiz and award stars based on the indicated stars

PowerPoint Quiz Template Part 3: AI-Powered Quiz in PowerPoint

  • Just one slide with the information you want to quiz on. That’s it!





Setting Up






  • While on your information slide and in presentation mode, click the AI icon on the slideshow toolbar.




  • Set up your quiz question options:

  • Click “Generate Question.”




  • ClassPoint AI will quickly generate a quiz question from the content of your information slide based on the settings you selected.




  • From the generated question, you can:

    • Check the correct answer.




    • Generate another question if needed.




    • Save the question to your PowerPoint presentation.






  • Generate as many questions as you like and save them as slides. They’re all prepped and ready for quiz time—no more manual setup of question slides or quiz buttons!
